All nurses need supplies to help them do their job, and I rely heavily on "the kindness of strangers." Most of the items in my clinic were donated by kind, loving parents or associates, and I am always grateful for your generosity. Many people have asked what I need most, so I guess this is my wish list.
The items that I purchase most often might surprise you-- most people think I need band-aids, and, while I do, I currently have enough standard size band-aids for the Zombie Apocalypse. Literally. My most frequent purchases are cough drops, peppermints (soft and hard), and feminine hygiene products.
A true wish list item would be rolls of CoBan or CoFlex in the 2-inch size. These are non-latex, conforming bandages that are great for our active middle-schoolers. They come in many colors and the kids find them

rather exciting and fun. I have seen some at Wal-Mart or Kroger, but only in brown or white. To get the pretty purple ones like are shown here, they would have to come from a medical supply store. Green would be great to have here at Booth!
So below is a list of the things that I think would be most beneficial.
Peppermints
Cough Drops
Feminine Hygiene products (pads and tampons)
Large (2-inch by 4-inch) band-aids
Saltines
Snack Crackers (peanut butter AND peanut-free)
Zip-top freezer bags, quart sized
Triple-antibiotic ointment
Anti-itch cream
Co-Ban or Co-Flex
Copy paper
Gloves-- Latex free, powder-free, size medium (medical grade)
